How to win friends and influence people (swear at the coach)

Day 6 of the February Fitness Challenge and a Consett session took me over 20k for the week. There was a bit of deja vu to Evil Mutant Swim Coach 1.0's offering this evening, with the imposition of a monster set of 100's.

On walking onto the pool side he grinned in a sort of sinister way and casually mentioned the main set was 100's; looking pointedly at me. I enquired if he knew it was Wednesday and not Sunday but that fell on deaf ears.

Fortunately he did listen when I pointed out the fatal flaw in his proposed set of 24 x 100's 8 @ 2mins, 8 @ 1.50 3 hard 1 easy, and 8 @ 1.40 alternate 1 hard 1 easy. "If I swim that last set and every alternate one is easy where's the effing rest?"

Bit selfish really because most of my compatriots could manage this standing on their heads. He did however demonstrate a rare glimpse of compassion and gave us more rest on the recovery swims.

As you can imagine this made me very popular with the rest of the squad and at least meant that I could survive the session.
