It was difficult getting back into the swing of things after the bank holiday weekend.
We'd spent yesterday (Monday) at Beamish with about a zillion other families in company with my brother in law and his three kids (a 5 year old and 3 year old twins, ) who were great fun but bloody hard work.
At the end of the day I felt we'd earned the stop by the old fashioned sweetshop, for cinder toffee, coconut ice, sherbet lemons and white mice.
As you might imagine after that little lot I was quite wired and relieved there was no training on yesterday.
Tonights little session was an attempt to pick the pace up...mmm what I can't believe is that I chose to do the sprint repeats breaststroke. Painful and not much rest!
