Grinding it Out but the Computer (eventually) says yes!

Sometimes there's nothing else you can do but simply get in and grind it out; well today was one of those days. The Masters session at Consett was really busy and I started in the bottom lane but migrated into the top lane and just hung on for grim death.

The first length of each repeat felt pretty god and I could stretch out nicely and control my breathing pattern, but as the swim went on I could feel my stroke shortening and getting more and more feeble.

The good thing was that my Slog (see here and here for further explanation) finally accepted that my 590,000 metre target for the year was a sensible one! Although I know for a certainty that I will not be able to keep this amount of swimming up after next week.

But only 8 days left of this years February Frenzy.
